PORTAFERM Small Manure Biogas Plant
PORTAFERM is a container-based small biogas plant for liquid and thus pumpable agricultural substrates with up to 10% solid content (i.e. cattle and pig manure). The plant is conceived for electrical demands between 10 and 20 kW and is therefore suitable for farms with 40 to 80 live stock units.
The small biogas plant PORTAFERM makes it possible for small farms, for whom the construction of a conventional biogas plant is not lucrative, to convert their liquid manure to electricity and heat at low cost, while additionally improving the fertilising properties of the manure.
The PORTAFERM plant is available in two variations:
10 kW plant (2 containers, 1 PORTAFERM digester and piping system)
20 kW plant (2 Containers, 2 PORTAFERM digester and piping systems)
The container-based construction of the PORTAFERM plant enables a quick, uncomplicated installation at the farm, since the components are delivered prefabricated and installed. The plant merely represents an additional step between the stall and elevated tank storage. Otherwise there are no changes in the usual process of manure collection and distribution.
